About Us
OYESKA GREENS was founded in 2014. We are a start-up company committed to revolutionizing agriculture at the Kenyan Coast. We are on a mission to make the Kenyan Coast the agricultural hub where greenhouse/open farming, technology, entrepreneurship, smart marketing, and climate-smart farming intersect to produce everlasting change.
What we do
We engage, inspire, mobilize, and empower smallholder farmers, enabling them to be dynamic players in agriculture. We have launched an innovative training, marketing and a robust capacity building initiative in order to promote sustainable crop production, increase the acreage of horticultural crops under production at the Kenyan Coast, spur entrepreneurship and showcase that smallholder farmers can engage in agriculture that is competitive, profitable and dynamic. Our model leverages digital, social media platforms, and other technologies, to promote agribusiness, and agricultural value chain development. We also partner with internal and external investors to build logistical capacity and skills necessary to increase the production of agricultural products. Our overall goal is to promote food security at the Kenyan Coast by engaging in climate smart agriculture.
Where we are headed
OYESKA GREENS will continue to work with smallholder farmers. Our goal is to make the Kenyan Coast become the next hub of African agriculture, where greenhouse/open farming, technology, entrepreneurship, and smart marketing intersect to produce an everlasting change. We will continue to increase acreage, empower many more smallholder farmers and scale up, so that we have formal employees who work in open farms and greenhouses. Since 2014, we have worked with over 1000 farmers. In 2016, we hosted Kwale County United Nations World Food Day. Over 1000 farmers celebrated the day on our farms. We continue to inspire and empower smallholder farmers .
