Current Projects

Impact
During its over 5 years of existence, OYESKA has worked with over 1000 farmers from Mabafweni community and Kwale County at large.
OYESKA is expanding to more communities.
In 2016, OYESKA GREENS hosted Kwale County United Nations World Food Day. On that day, over 1000 farmers attended.

Knowledge
Farmers working with OYESKA have gained knowledge about modern farming practices. They were trained by scientists from Kenya Agricultural
Research Institute. Additionally, we are now working with Syngenta, and Syngenta’s expert is working with our farmers. Their knowledge on BEST farming practices for bell peppers, tomatoes and greenhouse farming has increased by 50%. Additionally, OYESKA farmers attended 2014 Mombasa International Agricultural Show, where they learned BEST farming practices.
In 2019, over 52 farmers participated in a sustainable gardening workshop, where they learned about composting, raised beds and drip irrigation.

Empowering Women Small holder farmers
Majority of our farmers are women, so we have empowered female farmers.
